Bonhams auction, London, 7 July 2010, lot 24; ; Jan Peeter Brueghel was the oldest son of the painter Jan Brueghel II. After training with his father he became a master of the Guild of Saint Luke in Antwerp in 1645/46. He occasionally collaborated with W. Damery and E. Quellinus. Jan Peeter Brueghel’s style was highly influence by Jan Brueghel I and Jan Davidsz. de Heem. Sources document a sojourn in Venice in the year 1664.
