Born in 1943. In 1967 she graduated from the Vilnius Fine Arts Academy where studied ceramic art. The artist has participated in exhibitions and symposiums in Austria, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Turkey, and the USA since 1973, also she has arranged a number of solo exhibitions. The artist has won numerous prestigious awards such as Main Awards at the Baltic States Applied Arts Triennials in Tallinn (1983, 1985), Prizes of the Ministry of culture of Lithuania (1984, 1988, 1991), National Endowment for the Culture and Art (1998). Aldona teaches at the Vilnius Fine Arts Academy (Assoc. Prof. since 1994).
