Apolo Cacho

(Mexican , b. 1987 )

Apolo Cacho is a painter and graphic artist, author of the graphic novel "El taco psicotrópico", in which he combines stories inspired by the distress and precariousness of Mexico City. His work has been selected by the XI Bienal de Pintura Joaquín Clausell, the II Bienal de Pintura Pedro Coronel, XXXI Encuentro Nacional de Arte Joven y Animasivo, in the XXVII Festival de la Ciudad de México; also, he has been a FONCA intern twice and his work has been published in two international projects: Decadence (Great Britain) and 2dcloud (U.S.). In 2013 he presented a solo show "El mago está ebrio" in FIFTY24MX gallery in Mexico City, and in 2016 "La eterna represión del mexicano" at Instituto de Artes Gráficas de Oaxaca (IAGO). In 2014 he was selected to do a residency in La Maison des Auteurs in Anguleme, France, participating in 42 Festival de la Bande Dessinée with the exhibition "Sillages".
