Boyke Aditya K.S. was born in Pontianak, West Kalimantan on March 25, 1958. He studied at STSRI 'ASRI' and ISI Yogyakarta from 1979 to 1986. Boyke was well known as the surrealist artist with the biomorphic which got the source from the traditional idioms. This painter ever became one of the winners Biennale Seni Lukis Indonesia VII in 1989 in Jkarta. In 1990 he also got the award gold medallion at Biennale Seni Lukis ke II in Yogyakarta, and in 1992 he got an award Lempad Prize from Sanggar Dewata Indonesia. From many open art competitions were held by various industries in Indonesia, Boyke also ever got an award from Indofood Art Award in 2002. Beside actively joined the various national, he ever held the individual exhibitions at Galeri Hidayat Bandung in 1996. Boyke Aditya’s work addresses the ironies of social life and personal symbols extracted from myths and legends of Javanese and other cultures.
