Studying at the Martyn Roberts School in Brisbane in 1941 and the Brisbane Technical College in 1942, Doug Croston also attended vacation schools under Stan Rapotec. He worked as a photographer for 25 years before turning to full time painting in 1968. Highly regarded as a printmaker, his work has featured in numerous group exhibitions.
