Melvin Culaba (b. 1971) graduated from the University of Santo Tomas with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1993, and has exhibited extensively in the Philippines, Korea and the United States. He has been a Finalist at the Philip Morris Philippine Art Awards from 1995-98 and 2006, and won several top awards at the Art Association of the Philippines annual painting competition and Metrobank Young Painters annual competition. He won a full grant for residency at the Vermont Studio Centre in 2005 and is a commissioned artist for the Official Christmas Cards of President Gloria Arroyo. Crisis Management is his 13th solo exhibition and 3rd in Singapore.
