Purchased at the 'Exhibition of Chinese Paintings by Chen Wen Hsi' organised by The Old & New Art Gallery, Tanglin Shopping Centre, Singapore by a private British collector, Mr. Malcolm Shaw, in the 1970s. Mr Shaw lived in Singapore from 1968 to 1986. His last position before retirement was Managing Director for Shriro (China) Singapore Pte Ltd. Thence by descent to the British collector's children
