The hanging scroll with vignette of flowers in vase with rock work executed by six artists and an inscription by Yao Xie (Chinese, 1805-1864), a 19th-century poet and art theorist, that describes in detail how the five renowned painters, each with distinctive styles, collaborated and completed the work. Ink prunus blossoms by Shen Zhubing, with two seals of the artist. Camellias by Fei Danxu, with one seal of the artist. Daffodils by Yin Shubai, with one seal of the artist. Rock work by Zhang Xiong, with one seal of the artist. Peonies by Weng Xiaohai, with one seal of the artist.
