The canvas is lined and stable on its stretcher though the extreme right lining edge is visible outside of the frame. A vertical seam or fold is visible along the right side of the painting but is not distracting. Some retouching appears to have discolored at center and right of center in the clouds. Under UV inspection, retouching is visible in a few concentrated, larger areas in the clouds: one at the center of the top edge, a few areas in the right half of the sky, and one left of center in the clouds. Smaller retouches are visible at the upper left and lower left corners and on the black cow. Offered in a decoratively carved giltwood frame.
