Condition:

The canvas has not been lined and is securely attached to a keyed wooden stretcher. There are some pin-head sized spots of paint flaking in the sitter's cleavage which might benefit from consolidation. Inspection under ultra-violet light reveals areas of uneven varnish and some minor spots of retouching including in her cleavage and in the background closer to the centre of the right framing edge. The main figure appears to be virtually untouched. Overall, this work is in good condition and is ready to hang
