The canvas is lined and the edges of the original canvas have been unevenly cut. There are two areas of white discoloration in the window-pane at upper right and beneath the male figure's beard at lower right. Light craquelure throughout. There is a loss to the original paper and canvas at lower left corner. There are few losses to the pigment at the edges. Under UV light: there is a thick layer of varnish. In the upper right quadrant, there are several areas of retouching, the largest of which measures two inches by two inches. There are areas of retouching in and around the head of the male figure at center right. There are a few areas of retouching in the baby's head and on the female figure's neck. Three areas of retouching in the table at lower center. A few other nail-head sized area of retouching in various areas of the background. This work is in fair condition.
