Condition:
Glue-lined canvas. Under UV light there appears to be at least two periods of restoration. There is a 3 x 3 inch area of inpaint in sky probably addressing a U-shaped tear and a 2 1/2 x 1inch restoration just above the castle chimney (against mountain); both of these areas are noticeable in natural light. There is a thin line of intermittent inpaint corresponding to the horizontal cross bar. There are a few areas of scattered inpaint overall. The painting has been selectively cleaned. Canvas is a little slack. Inscribed on reverse: 'Cleaned - oiled by W.A. Oktavec 1941'
