Condition:

framed: 62 by 84½ in.; 157.4 by 214.6 cm The canvas is lined and stretched on a new stretcher. The paint surface is stable and in fair condition. Under UV light, the surface has been selectively cleaned and possibly overcleaned in the background at right. Areas of retouching are visible throughout the background, in the foreground figures' faces at left and center as well as in the white textile at left, the chair back at right, and in the ground at bottom center.
