Condition:

The work has been examined framed. Canvas is not lined. Examination under UV light reveals a vertical line of retouching (approx. 7 cm long) in between the eyes of the character, associated with glue on the reverse and consistent with a repaired tear. There are some smaller lines and dots of retouching in places most predominantly to the upper left quadrant. Canvas is a bit undulating notably to the upper right corner. There are a few minor lines of craquelure in areas. This work is in overall fairly good condition.
