Condition:

The work has been examined framed. Canvas is not lined. Examination under UV light reveals an area of retouching in the blue pigment to the background on the upper part of the composition, additional dots and lines of retouching to the mountain's in the lower part of the composition and along the lower edge. There is an additional spot of retouching to the lower right corner. There are some lines and dots of retouching to the figure, most predominantly to the outside of the circle, to the eyes, nose, mouth and forehead. There is some frame rubbing associated with tiny paint losses along the extreme edges. There are a few scattered lines of small craquelure most predominantly in the upper part of the composition. This work is in overall fair and stable condition.
