Condition:
The canvas has been lined and is taut on its stretcher. The overall image reads well beneath a clear varnish, and the loose and sketchy quality is well-preserved. Inspection under UV reveals some strokes of retouching primarily concentrated in the upper sky. Some additional find strokes are visible in the architecture toward the center of the right edge, and a few strokes in the shadows of the lower right corner. Only a few other very small spots visible here and there. The painting is ready to hang. Offered in a dark wood frame with a gilt liner. The lot is sold in the condition it is in at the time of sale. The condition report is provided to assist you with assessing the condition of the lot and is for guidance only.
