From the collection of artist decorator Charles Eaton (1885-1963); thence by descent to the god-daughter and cousin of his daughter Lilian Eaton, the current vendor. Henry Darvall moved to Venice in 1875 and exhibited views of Venice at The Royal Academy for several years.
