There appears to be a slightly uneven varnish layer with a few spots with minor surface dirt; some small abrasions with associated paint loss, one spot most noticeable is a diagonal crack across the woman's chest, as well as a small spot in the blue shirted man's left shoulder; under UV exam, there appears to be a few areas with inpainting, most noticeable in the figure in the lower right quadrant, as well as in the blue shirted man; otherwise, the discolored varnish layer throughout makes the painting difficult to read.
