Condition:

This work is in beautiful condition. The canvas is well stretched on its original stretcher. The paint layer is stable. There are no damages or retouches. The artist has visibly distressed the paint layer in some areas, such as the upper center, lower right, and upper left. The paint layer was quite unevenly glazed, also by the artist. This is particularly visible throughout the figures in the center of the work. There is no evidence that the painting has changed in any way since it was painted. It should be hung as is.
