Inscribed Mrs. Bell [sic] Cohen / Died 1832 and signed Eicholtz [sic] in another hand on the reverse

Condition:

1/8 inch loss at lower left, to the left of the hands. Frame rubbing. Rather flat. Old lining. Original canvas trimmed to tacking edge. Dense varnish. Difficult to distinguish restoration under UV exam. It is possible that an original signature beneath the lining may have been copied onto the lining by a conservator but this cannot be confirmed
